How long is a Lesson?

We recommend 2  hour lessons. These are more productive than shorter periods because  proportionally less time is spent briefing/debriefing and driving to and from  location. This leaves more time for learning and developing skills. Students who  receive two hour lessons usually require fewer hours in total.

How many lessons will I need?

The Driving Standards Agencys research shows that the current  average is 45 hours of tuition, with an additional 22 hours private practise to  pass. But remember this is only an average, the majority of our students pass  with fewer lessons than average. After your first lesson your instructor will be  able to give you a more accurate idea of how many you are likely to need.

When can I start?

Before you can learn to  drive on public roads you must be 17 and have a valid provisional licence. You  can apply for your provisional licence up to three months before your birthday.  You will need to complete a D1 form from the Post Office and send it to the  DVLA. If you would like your first lesson on your Birthday we would recommend  booking early to avoid disappointment
